Memorial Day

I celebrated Memorial Day yesterday with a cookout and a moment of silence.

You know, though . . .  My family has, through the generations, been good at the duck-dodge-spin-parry, and all of our people have come home.

Not everybody “celebrates” memorial day.  Just a reminder.

  1. An amazing photo, and words that couldn’t be truer. My priest actually asked us to take some time in our prayers on Monday and pray for the fallen of all battles. Remember: It wasn’t just the ones on our side who left behind loved ones, even if we didn’t see eye to eye with them.

  2. yes. I cringed this Sunday as I passed a church message board that said “HAPPY Memorial Day”

Martin had to restrain me from pulling into their parking lot to give them a talkin’ to.
